Why lips need their own care

Lip skin has only three to five cell layers, making it noticeably thinner and more sensitive than the rest of your face - which is why it can react quickly to heat, cold, dryness and other everyday stimuli. Dr. Hauschka's certified natural lip care is formulated to help protect against this, using high-quality waxes, rich oils and medicinal plant extracts like anthyllis, marigold and St. John's wort.

Finding your everyday balm

Looking for a simple, everyday companion that keeps lips soft and smooth? Our Lip Care Stick is a classic, gentle balm, formulated for daily use on dry lips.

Dealing with something more stubborn - chapped, cracked lips, or lines around the mouth? Our Lip Balm is a richer formula, designed for very dry or chapped lips and the corners of the mouth.

Give your lips a mini facial

Even lips need a little TLC sometimes, especially if they are dry and chapped. Think of it as a facial, just for your mouth: smooth on a layer of Hydrating Cream Mask and leave it for about 10 minutes before wiping away. Doing your makeup afterwards? Save your lip colour for last, so the mask has time to properly sink in first.

Ingredients sourced with care

Sustainability isn't an afterthought for us - it shapes where our ingredients come from in the first place. We prioritise organic farms and certified wild harvesting, and when an ingredient we need isn't available organically, we'll go as far as helping establish a new organic growing project ourselves. That's exactly how we ended up sourcing shea butter from Burkina Faso, now used across Lip Care Stick and several other products in the range.

Closer to home, our own medicinal plant garden and farm grow around 150 plants between them, both certified to Demeter biodynamic standards. Marigold harvest is even a company-wide tradition - each year, staff from all over Dr. Hauschka step away from their usual roles to hand-pick the flowers that go into water-based extracts for products like Lip Balm.
